Sagarika Ghatge’s skill on the hockey field saw her enter movies with Chak De India.
She was born on 8th January 1986 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. Her father is Vijay Ghatge, who has produced the movies Shobhayatra and Ganuraya. She studied at the Chatrapathi Shahu School and Mayo College in Ajmer, Rajasthan.
She landed the role of Preethi in Chak De India (2007) which starred Shah Rukh Khan as a hockey coach. With her athletic build and a go-getter attitude she got a deal with the sports brand Reebok to represent them.
After completing a course at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute, Ghatge now has two movies up for release Raftaar 24z7 (2009) with Emraan Hashmi and Deepak Tijori’s Fox (2009) with Arjun Rampal
